Eugene Weissberger

Eugene Weissberger, CFA, serves as the Managing Director of Sponsor Finance at First Citizens Bank since June 2024, focusing on cash-flow loans and banking services for middle market private equity sponsors. Previously, Eugene held the position of Managing Director and Head of Debt Advisory at Mesirow from August 2021 to May 2024, where expertise in senior and junior debt capital raises was demonstrated across various industry sectors. Prior experience includes advisory roles at Baird and BMO Capital Markets, as well as tenure in Debt Capital Markets at Natixis, where notable transactions received Deal of the Year recognition. Early in the career, Eugene executed leveraged finance deals at Citigroup, enhancing understanding through rotations in loan syndication and trading. Eugene holds a degree from Penn State University, completed from 2002 to 2006.
