Joel Johnson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in customer experience strategy and operations management. Currently serving as SVP and Senior Director of the Customer Experience Group Strategy at First Citizens Bank since October 2014, Joel leads the development and execution of strategic planning for the Customer Engagement Center, overseeing a team focused on leveraging customer insights to meet the business needs of both consumer and business product lines. Prior to this role, Joel held various positions at CitiMortgage from August 2002 to September 2014, including VP and Operations Manager of the Customer Contact Center, as well as Assistant Vice President and Work Flow Coordinator. Joel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from North Carolina Central University.
