Pedro Pequeno (Peter)

Pedro (Peter) Pequeno has a diverse and extensive work experience in the banking industry. Pedro (Peter) started their career at BB&T in 1990 as a Vice President in Commercial Banking. In 1996, they joined Surrey Bank & Trust as a Senior Vice President & Chief Lending Officer, where they were responsible for developing loan policies and overseeing lending activity. Later, they became the President of Surrey Bank & Trust, overseeing all operations including sales, marketing, and back-office functions. In 2023, First Community Bank acquired Surrey Bank & Trust, and Pedro assumed the role of SVP & North Carolina Commercial Banking Manager, taking charge of commercial banking activities for the North Carolina division.

Pedro Pequeno received their M.B.A. in Finance from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College from 1988 to 1990. Prior to that, from 1985 to 1988, they obtained their B.A. in International Affairs from Rollins College. Additionally, they attended the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University in 2005-2006, where they earned a degree in Banking.
