Sean Andany

Sean Andany is the Head of Data at First Derivatives.

With 25 years of experience, Sean brings to First Derivatives a wealth of experience in data and analytics, specifically in relation to cloud and Big Data technologies and has extensive financial services knowledge, having led large-scale global data projects for a number of tier 1 retail and investment banks including HSBC, Deutsche Bank and Barclays.

At First Derivatives, Sean drives the data services business line that assists clients by accelerating the way they collect, record and consume data, in order to enable their transformation into fully data-driven organizations.

Sean started his career as a developer and worked for a number of the world’s leading investment banks, including Barclays Capital where he was most recently CTO for European & Middle East (EMEA) Technology and CTO for the Markets Division at Absa Capital. In his new role at FD, he will focus on developing the data services business line across three practice area of Data Management, Data Engineering and Data Science.
