Role Summary:
The Head of Platform will lead the platform team, a critical subdivision of our IT department, and report directly to the CTO. This role is pivotal in crafting and executing strategies that enhance and expand our platform, ensuring it meets the growing needs of our clients and internal users. The ideal candidate will have a startup mentality, proven leadership skills, and a successful track record in product development from a platform perspective.
About SmartTrust:
SmartTrust is the backbone of First Digital's business operations, supporting a robust array of applications including a Client Portal, Backoffice, and various APIs. Our platform is crucial for providing top-tier services to our clients and for internal operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers, fostering an innovative and collaborative work environment.
- Develop and implement platform strategies that align with the company’s objectives and market evolution.
- Manage the lifecycle of the platform from strategic planning to tactical activities, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Ensure the platform’s performance, reliability, and scalability meet the highest standards for both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including product development, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless integration and functionality of all platform components.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation at the platform level, staying ahead of industry trends and technological advancements.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the CTO and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on platform progress and challenges.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing product teams.
- Strong background in product/platform development, ideally within the fintech or tech sectors.
- Demonstrable track record of successful project delivery and platform optimization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a startup mentality.
- Passion for delivering exceptional user experience through technology.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in fintech platforms or similar technology-driven financial solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Technical proficiency in overseeing platforms that support both client-facing and backend systems.
