Michelle Hickox

Michelle Hickox has a strong background in finance and accounting. Michelle is currently serving as the EVP/Chief Financial Officer at First Financial Bank Texas since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of CFO at Independent Bank Group, Inc. from May 2012 to August 2022. During their time there, they managed accounting, treasury/finance, and financial reporting. Michelle also played a key role in capital markets transactions, including the IPO in 2013, and oversaw financial M&A strategies. Before joining Independent Bank Group, Michelle was a Partner at RSM US LLP from October 2001 to December 2011. Michelle started their career at Fisk and Robinson, where they served as an Audit professional in the Dallas office and worked with various banks and organizations throughout Texas from 1990 to 2001.

Michelle Hickox attended Texas A&M University from 1985 to 1989, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a focus on Accounting.
