Jerry Coleman

Jerry Coleman has extensive experience in the field of database administration and business intelligence. Jerry began their career at First Financial Bank in 2012 as a Team Lead Senior Database Administrator and Business Intelligence Administrator. In this role, Jerry was responsible for managing the DBA team, monitoring and evaluating their performance, coaching and mentoring team members, and resolving database-related issues.

Prior to their time at First Financial Bank, Jerry worked at Pomeroy from 2007 to 2012 as a Database Administrator. Their responsibilities included database management, performance tuning, disaster recovery planning, and ERP integration with SQL databases. Jerry also handled reporting warehouse management, set up and configured Microsoft SQL server databases, and performed on-site and remote troubleshooting.

Before entering the private sector, Jerry served in the United States Air Force from 1982 to 2009. Jerry held various roles during their time in the military, including Emergency Medical Technician - Reserves and Active Duty - Medical Technician. In these positions, Jerry ensured that military reservists were trained in medical care and triage, developed and implemented a Wing website on Self Aid and Buddy Care, and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Jerry Coleman earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Old Dominion University from 1978 to 1982. In the same year, they also received an MCITP certification in SQL Database Administration from Global Knowledge.
