Gerald B. James

Gerald B. James has extensive experience in health management and group fitness instruction. Since February 2018, Gerald serves as the Director of Operations at the Boston Public Health Commission. Concurrently, Gerald has instructed group fitness classes at Bodyscapes Fitness and Boston Sports Club since April 2012 and has been a Group Power and Group Fitness Instructor at Fitcorp since January 1999, teaching a wide variety of classes. Previously, from December 2015 to November 2018, Gerald was the Program Manager for Outreach and Peer Programs at Boston Medical Center, with earlier roles at the organization including Program Coordinator and Medical Case Manager. Gerald's career began at Fleet Bank as Operations Manager and as a Senior Policy Analyst at The New England. Gerald holds a Master's in Public Health from Boston University and a Bachelor's in Political Science and Sociology from Tufts University, along with coursework in Spanish Studies at Universidad de Barcelona.
