Derek Chang

Derek Chang has extensive experience in the banking industry. Derek began their career at Bank of Hawaii in 1989 and held the position of Vice President until 2013. In 2013, they joined First Hawaiian Bank as VP of Corporate Banking and later advanced to the role of Senior Vice President & Division Manager Corporate Banking in December 2018.

Derek Chang completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Hawai'i - Shidler College of Business in 2002. Derek also holds a degree in Finance from the same university, which they obtained between 1984 and 1989. Additionally, Derek participated in an exchange program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1987-1988. Prior to their higher education, Derek attended high school. Currently, they are enrolled in the Pacific Coast Banking School, which they are expected to complete by 2023.
