Will Long Sr. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of information technology and security. Will has held various leadership roles in different organizations throughout their career.

Will first started their career as a Computer Operator at Pacific Southwest Trading, a jet fuel trading company. Will then worked at Insurdata Inc, where they served as a Computer Programmer, Network Manager, and Operations Manager.

Will Long Sr. joined Healthaxis, a healthcare administrative services provider, where they spent a significant part of their career. Will held multiple roles in the company, including Technical Services Manager, Information Security Officer, Director of Information Security, and Director of Technology Services and Operations.

Following their tenure at Healthaxis, Will Long Sr. worked at Baylor Scott & White Health as the Director of Security and Engineering, Director of Baylor Information Services, and Vice President of Technology and Infrastructure. In these roles, they were responsible for managing and leading various IT initiatives, including cyber security and infrastructure teams.

Will then joined Children's Health as the Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer. In this role, they oversaw all information security initiatives and also managed the Healthcare Technology Management department.

More recently, Will Long Sr. founded their consulting firm called Will Long Consulting LLC. This firm specializes in healthcare information security. Will also serves as the Principal and Founder of the company.

Currently, Will Long Sr. is working at First Health Advisory as the Executive Vice President and Chief Security Officer.

Will Long Sr. obtained their Bachelor's Degree in EET from DeVry University, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Will later pursued a Master's Degree in Information Systems from the University of Phoenix, completing their studies from 2009 to 2012. In addition to their academic achievements, Will Long Sr. has obtained several certifications, including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in July 2009. Will also obtained the CPHIMSS certification from HIMSS in April 2015 and the ITIL Foundations v3 certification from ITIL Certified in 2014. Additionally, Will Long Sr. holds Ham radio General and Extra Licenses from the Federal Communications Commission, obtained in 2018.
