Terry Akins

Terry Akins is senior executive vice president and chief risk officer for First Horizon National Corporation. Akins oversees risk management and compliance.

Prior to this role, Akins served as a senior executive vice president and chief risk officer for IBERIABANK for three years. From 2002-2017, she primarily worked with market leadership and served as the director of commercial strategic initiatives, responsible for commercial and private banking segment resources for the markets. Akins also worked for Wachovia Bank for 17 years where she held risk and market management positions in large corporate banking, international risk administration, derivatives, and foreign exchange.

Akins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Tennessee. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
