David Duncan

President & CEO at First Hospitality Group

David Duncan is the current President & CEO of First Hospitality Group. David has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, holding various executive positions at JC Resorts, Duncan Ventures, Denihan Hospitality Group, Guggenheim Partners, and GE Capital.

David Duncan started their career in 1987 at EY, where they worked their way up to Senior Manager over the course of 10 years. In 1998, they made the move to GE Capital, where they served as CFO of Real Estate Capital Markets for two years. In 2001, they joined Guggenheim Partners as Managing Director, and then in 2003 they became President and CFO of Denihan Hospitality Group.

In 2014, Duncan left Denihan to start their own company, Duncan Ventures. However, they returned to the hospitality industry in 2016 when they joined JC Resorts as their Real Estate and Lodging executive. David remained with JC Resorts until 2018 when they were appointed as President & CEO of First Hospitality Group.

David Duncan first attended Western Michigan University where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree. Afterward, they became an adjunct professor at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
