Ryan Boulanger, CISSP, has a strong background in security engineering and information security. Ryan has experience working for multiple companies in various roles.

At First Information Technology Services, Inc, Ryan served as the Director of Security Engineering. Ryan led a team of seven members and oversaw the development of compliant security stack solutions on Azure and AWS. Ryan also created a dashboard to track key performance indicators related to patching deficiencies, response times, and control conformance. Ryan contributed to the growth and ROI of the company's security engineering vertical. Ryan also held the position of Director of Information Security - M365 GRC, where they assembled and led a team of nine members. Ryan developed a data visualization platform to highlight deficiencies and reduce overdue work items by over 60%. Ryan spearheaded audit activities and ensured the success of project deliverables. Before joining First Information Technology Services, Inc, Ryan worked for Puget Sound Kidney Centers as a Security Engineer. Ryan was responsible for redesigning the log aggregation and alerting pipeline to improve security monitoring. Ryan also implemented an incident response process based on NIST 800-61 guidelines and conducted an annual risk assessment and mitigation program to strengthen the organization's security posture. Additionally, they served as an Information System Technician, where they utilized troubleshooting skills to resolve problems and made procedural improvements for optimized performance.

Ryan Boulanger, CISSP, holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Washington, which they obtained from 2007 to 2009. In 2014 to 2016, they attended Edmonds College and earned an Associate of Technical Arts degree in Information Security and Digital Forensics. Ryan has also acquired various certifications, including the CyberSecurity Forensic Analyst from the CyberSecurity Institute in September 2015, Network Assurance from Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service and DHS/FEMA in June 2015, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in March 2020, A+ certification from CompTIA in April 2015, and Security+ certification from CompTIA in July 2016.
