Lorraine Ortiz

Lorraine Ortiz has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Lorraine began their career as an HR Generalist at COA, Inc., a national furniture distributor. Lorraine then worked as a Human Resources Analyst III at the Orange County Social Services Agency, where they provided HR services to over 1,300 employees. Lorraine later became a Regional HR Manager at 99 Cents Only Stores, Inc., overseeing HR operations for multiple stores. Lorraine then joined MCL Restaurant & Bakery as the Director of HR, responsible for talent management and benefit plans. Lorraine continued their HR leadership roles at Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana, Indiana University Health, and Butler University. Lorraine served as the Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Butler University, where they implemented the institution's first strategic HR department. Their most recent role was Chief People Officer at First Internet Bank. Lorraine has a strong background in HR strategy, talent management, and operational excellence.

Lorraine Ortiz obtained a Juris Doctorate degree in Law from the Santa Clara School of Law, where they studied from 1996 to 1999. Prior to that, they attended Whittier College from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English. Lorraine also obtained a certification as a Strategic Human Resources Business Partner from the Human Capital Institute (HCI) in December 2014.
