Stephen C. Van Arsdell

Mr. Van Arsdell is a former senior partner of Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 2010 to 2012, and as Deputy Chief Executive Officer from 2009 to 2010. Previously, he served as Deloitte’s partner-in-charge of its financial services practice in the Midwest, and he was a member of Deloitte’s board from 2003 through 2009. Mr. Van Arsdell is a certified public accountant.

Mr. Van Arsdell currently serves on the Audit Committee of Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (since 2015) and the board of directors of Mueller Water Products, Inc. (since 2019; NYSE).He also is a member of the Dean’s advisory council for the College of Business at the University of Illinois and Chairman of the board of directors of the University of Illinois Alumni Alliance. He is a member of the Illinois Alumni Association Board of Advisors. Mr. Van Arsdell currently serves on the board of trustees of the Morton Arboretum and previously chaired the board of trustees of the Conservation Foundation.

Mr. Van Arsdell is a member of our Audit Committee (serving as its Chair), Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and Advisory Committee.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Accounting Science degree from the University of Illinois in 1972 and 1973, respectively.
