Joel Amundson

Joel Amundson has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Joel is currently working as a Principal Mechanical Engineer at First Mode since May 2021. Before that, they worked at BLUE ORIGIN as a Propulsion Engineer from October 2019 to May 2021 and as an Avionics Engineer from June 2018 to October 2019. Joel also served as the VP Engineering at Cascade Engine Center from July 2017 to June 2018. Prior to that, they held the position of OEM Applications Engineer Lead at Zonar Systems from November 2014 to July 2017. Joel had an earlier stint at Cascade Engine Center as an Assistant Engineering Manager from January 2010 to November 2014. Joel started their career at PACCAR International as a Sales Engineer from January 2007 to January 2009 and worked at Kenworth Truck Company as a Design Engineer from August 1998 to January 2007.

Joel Amundson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Vehicle Design from Western Washington University, completing their studies from 1994 to 1998.
