Steve Sturm has extensive experience in the banking industry, with various roles and positions at different companies. Steve started in 1982 as a Commercial Loan Officer at Caldwell County Bank, where they successfully assisted farm families during the agricultural crisis. Steve then moved on to Centerre Bank, where they specialized in managing difficult commercial lending relationships and supervised the Commercial Loan Operations department. At Mercantile Bank of Kansas City, they were in charge of the commercial and loan servicing departments and played a significant role in restructuring relationships and growing the loan portfolio. Steve also worked at Commerce Bank, where they served as Vice President and Regional Manager, overseeing the Eastern Jackson County market. Steve developed successful loan programs and played a key role in developing a highly successful loan officer. Steve continued to advance their career, holding positions as Senior Vice President and Senior Lender at First National Bank of Kansas, Senior Vice President of Commercial Services at Blue Ridge Bank & Trust Co., and Market President at Farmers Bank & Trust Company. At Bank Midwest, they were the Senior Vice President and Market Manager for the sale of commercial products. Finally, they returned to First National Bank of Omaha as the Vice President of Commercial Sales for the Kansas City region. Throughout their career, Steve has demonstrated expertise in commercial banking, managing problem loans, establishing credit and treasury departments, strategic planning, and team leadership.

Steve Sturm attended Northwest Missouri State University from 1974 to 1978, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General. Steve also completed a minor in Business Administration and Management, General from the same university in 1979.
