Don P.

Don P. has over 25 years of experience in the field of information security and technology. Don is currently serving as the Senior Director and vCISO (Virtual Chief Information Security Officer) for FNTS, a managed IT services provider. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the company's information security program and ensuring security, compliance, and audit services for FNTS customers. Prior to their current position, Don held the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Bank Services Executive at Insite Data Services, where they provided strategies to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability for the business and reported on governance, risk, and threats as a member of the executive leadership team.

Before their time at Insite Data Services, Don worked as an Information Security Manager at PayPal, where they built a security team from scratch and managed security across various enterprise assets. Don also has experience as an Assistant Director for Application Security and Risk at Moody's Analytics, where they managed enterprise application penetration testing and implemented risk management frameworks.

Don's career also includes roles such as Webmaster at Children's Hospital & Medical Center - Omaha, IT Project Manager and Manager of the Web Center at TriHealth, System Architect at Children's Hospital Omaha, and Webmaster at The Nebraska Medical Center and Bryan Health.

Don began their career at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a Support Specialist, providing technology design and architectural support to multiple departments. Throughout their career, Don has demonstrated a strong understanding of information security, risk management, and technology implementation.

Don P. attended Bellevue University from 2014 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance. Prior to attending Bellevue University, Don P. also studied English, Political Science, and History at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, although the specific dates and degree obtained are unknown. In addition to their degrees, Don P. has also obtained certifications in ethical hacking and information security. In February 2015, they earned the C|EH Certified Ethical Hacker certification from EC-Council, and in August 2018, they achieved the C|CISO Certified Chief Information Security Officer certification, also from EC-Council.
