Alan Leung has extensive experience in public health and environmental health roles, currently serving as an Environmental Health Officer at First Nations Health Authority since March 2022. Prior to this position, Alan worked at Interior Health Authority and Saskatchewan Health Authority in similar roles, focusing on public health initiatives and inspections. Experience also includes a role as a Quality Assurance Scientist at The Hain Celestial Group, ensuring compliance with federal requirements in food labeling and operational standards. Alan's background includes educational roles, such as a Student Environmental/Public Health Inspector with Island Health, along with a strong foundation in food science from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor's of Technology with Distinction from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
