Elle Wayara is an accomplished healthcare professional with extensive experience in nursing, public health, and policy analysis. Currently serving as a Care Coordinator for Virtual Substance Use and Psychiatry Services at the First Nations Health Authority since January 2020, Elle previously held positions as a Policy Analyst and Health & Equity Consultant at LevelUp Planning & Consulting, where efforts focused on creating programs and policies that enhance population health through an equity lens. Past roles include Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Postpartum Care at BC Children's and Women's Hospital and Health Centre, Clinical Research Nurse at the Vaccine Evaluation Center, and Practicum Student at the BC Ministry of Health. Elle holds a Master of Public Health in Social Policy from the University of Victoria, a Certificate in Neonatal Specialty Nursing from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Queen's University.
