David Gray

David Gray is an experienced geologist with a career spanning over two decades in the mining and resources sector. Currently serving as the Group Geologist for Mine and Resources at First Quantum Minerals since April 2013, David has previously held significant positions including Principal at Optiro, where consultancy focused on exploration and mineral resource sectors, and Principal Resource Geologist at Anvil Mining, overseeing mineral resource development and training. Additional experience includes serving as Principal Resource Geologist at Snowden and Exploration Manager at Anglo Platinum, where management of key exploration projects was a focus. David holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Honours in Geology from Rhodes University and completed a leadership development program in Business Administration at UNISA.
