Niel Swart

Niel Swart is an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong background in commissioning and project management across various industries. Currently serving as Superintendent - Structural and Mechanical at First Quantum Minerals since September 2022, Niel has played a pivotal role in the S3 expansion project and mechanical commissioning of significant equipment. Previous roles include Commissioning Engineer and Project Manager at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Senior Engineer at Steinmüller Africa, and Service Manager at TLT ACTOM, demonstrating a comprehensive skill set in mechanical systems, project leadership, and client relations. Niel holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from North-West University.
