Andrew Sharits

Andrew Sharits is a Development Engineer and Materials Analysis Lead at First Solar since April 2023, with prior experience as the AMCaT Technical Director at the University of California, Davis from April 2022 to April 2023, and as a Research Scientist at UES, Inc. from October 2018 to March 2022. Andrew has also served as an Associate Research Scientist at Universal Technology Corporation and a Graduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University. During the time at The Ohio State University, Andrew utilized various advanced techniques to study structure-property relationships in layered perovskites and employed data mining methods to identify chemical trends. Andrew's earlier experience includes research at Eastern Kentucky University and an internship at NHRC/EHEL. Andrew holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Eastern Kentucky University.
