Philip Yanick

1st VP - Risk, First State Bank at First State Bank - Michigan

Philip Yanick has a strong background in risk management and banking. Philip began their career with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in 1980, where they served as a Commissioned Bank Examiner for 33 years. In this role, they conducted routine and special examinations in banks, thrifts, and data centers in the Michigan Territory. Philip also oversaw IT examinations in the State of Michigan and collaborated with other regulatory agencies.

In 2013, Philip joined Crestmark Bank as the SVP - Chief Risk Officer. Philip was responsible for overseeing Enterprise Risk Management, regulatory compliance, and special projects. Philip played a key role in establishing the Risk Management Department and conducted internal audits and independent assessments as required by regulatory standards.

Prior to their higher education, Philip Yanick graduated from Warren Woods High School in 1974.
