Jason Tucker has a diverse work experience in the non-profit sector. Jason served as the Senior Director of Stewardship and Development at First United Methodist Church San Diego, where they managed board relations and oversaw planned giving and estate giving. Prior to this, they were the Development Director at Access Youth Academy, leading fundraising efforts and conducting a successful capital campaign. Jason also worked as the Manager of Donor Relationships at Ocean Discovery Institute, responsible for major gift cultivation and solicitation. Jason gained experience in database management and event coordination as the Database and Records Administrator at Academy of Our Lady of Peace. Earlier in their career, Jason worked in education as a Data and Assessment Coordinator and Spanish teacher at San Diego Virtual School, as well as a Lead Teacher and Education Coordinator at Juan Bautista de Anza Charter School. Jason started their career as a music teacher at Mission Middle School in the Escondido Union School District, where they also served as a technology resource teacher.

Jason Tucker attended Point Loma Nazarene University from 2000 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and Spanish. Jason later returned to the same university in 2005 and 2006 to obtain a CA Single Subject Teaching Credential in Music and Spanish. Jason also holds various certifications in data analysis and programming, obtained from institutions such as Coursera and Blackbaud in 2015.
