Rebecca Walker

Rebecca Walker, BA, CPHR has extensive experience in human resources, starting in 1993 with roles in pension and benefits coordination, project analysis, and specializing in pensions at Overwaitea Food Group. Rebecca then moved to Pacific Newspaper Group in 2001 as an HR Manager, focusing on employment and benefits supervision. Since 2012, they have been with First West Credit Union, progressing from a Senior HR Business Partner to Director of HR & Labour Relations and currently holds the role of VP, HR Services. Rebecca'sexpertise spans various HR functions and leadership positions in the organizations they have worked for.

Rebecca Walker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Geography from the University of the Fraser Valley (1992-2002) and a Group Benefits Associate certification from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans & Dalhousie University (2004-2005). Rebecca also completed a Labour Relations program at the Queen's Industrial Relations Centre (IRC) from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, they obtained the Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation from CPHR BC & Yukon in 2022 and a Strategic Workforce Planning certification from P World in 2021.
