Gavin Leathem

Gavin Leathem has over 20 years of experience in human resources and leadership roles. Gavin is currently serving as the Interim Group Human Resources Director at FirstGroup plc, a leading transportation company in the UK. Prior to this, Gavin held various roles including Group Human Resources Director at Low & Bonar and Essentra, where they were responsible for HR functions globally. Gavin also served as the Vice President Human Resources for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Emerson Network Power and as the Group Human Resources Director at Chloride Group PLC. Gavin has a track record of successfully managing HR strategies and organizational development in international settings. In addition to their corporate roles, Gavin is a Member of the Transport Employment Skills Task Force, where they chair the Recruitment, Retention, and Representation working party.

Gavin Leathem completed a Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching from Henley Business School in 2023. Gavin also holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from the University of East Anglia and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources from Ealing College. Gavin was an exchange student at SUNY Oneonta, where they studied Business Administration and Management. Additionally, they pursued Business Studies at Nottingham Trent University. Gavin completed their prior education at Gunnersbury School.
