Shankar Bhargava

Shankar Bhargava is the VP of Engineering at WalmartLabs, where leadership focuses on AI Assistants and Retail AI to enhance customer shopping experiences both online and in-store. With a strong background in software engineering and machine learning, Shankar has held positions at companies like Salesforce and Amazon.com, contributing to search algorithms, machine learning classifiers, and document processing. Shankar also serves as a Limited Partner at Red Swan Ventures and Firsthand Alliance, in addition to being an angel investor and advisor for various companies. An alumnus of Arizona State University with a Master's degree in Computer Science, Shankar has published research on data mining and machine learning and previously led software development teams at Huawei Technologies.
