Rachelle Perron has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Rachelle started their career as a Research Assistant at the Community Based Research Lab, where they conducted interviews and prepared literature reviews. Rachelle then worked as a Community Health Nurse for the Yukon government, providing healthcare services and influencing public health policies. Rachelle later joined the Vancouver Coastal Health as a Primary Care Nurse, specializing in services for marginalized individuals with complex medical and social care needs. Rachelle also took on the role of a Research Assistant at the Capacity Research Unit - UBC School of Nursing. Subsequently, Rachelle served as a Registered Nurse at Inner City Health Associates and St. Michael's Hospital, where they provided primary care nursing services and coordinated care for socially and medically complex individuals. Rachelle also actively participated in various committees and working groups. Rachelle then joined Unity Health Toronto as a Project Manager, where they managed healthcare projects. Recently, they co-founded Cadence and served as the COO before becoming a Strategic Advisor. Currently, Rachelle is an Independent Consultant, supporting organizations in developing and implementing sustainable tech and data strategies to drive social impact. In 2022, they will assume the role of Clinical Informatics and Data Strategy Lead at FirstHx.

Rachelle Perron has a diverse education history. Rachelle obtained their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from McGill University in 2014. Rachelle furthered their nursing education by completing a certificate in RN First Call (Advanced Health Assessment) at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) in 2017. In 2018, they pursued a diploma in Tropical Nursing from the University of Liverpool. Rachelle also expanded their knowledge in contraceptive management by earning a certificate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2016. Recently, they have been enrolled at the University of Toronto, where they are working towards a Master of Science (MS) degree in Health Informatics, starting in 2019 and expected to complete in 2021. Additionally, in 2020, Rachelle obtained the Certified Executor Advisor Certification from CICEA. Rachelle has plans to obtain the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2023.
