Kathryn MacKinnon

Kathryn Mackinnon is an experienced veterinary professional, currently serving as the Field Epidemiology Veterinary Adviser and Veterinary Officer at the Animal and Plant Health Agency since July 2016. In addition, Kathryn has been a Veterinary Surgeon at FirstVet since June 2020. Kathryn also held a position as a Non Executive Director at MI:RNA Diagnostics from March 2022 to July 2024, a veterinary diagnostics company specializing in innovative disease diagnosis technologies. Previous roles include Veterinary Surgeon positions at Prospect House Veterinary Clinic from July 2012 to October 2014, Vets Now from October 2011 to March 2012, and Bodrwnsiwn Veterinary Group from July 2010 to October 2011. Kathryn holds a Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Glasgow, earned between 2005 and 2010, and completed secondary education at Montrose Academy from 1999 to 2005.
