Dan Gray has a diverse work experience in the field of optical engineering. Dan began their career at Optos as a Senior Optical Systems Engineer from June 2007 to June 2010. Dan then joined GE as a Lead Optical Engineer from July 2010 to November 2014. Dan continued to expand their knowledge in the field by working as a Senior Optical Engineer at Lighthouse Imaging Corporation from November 2014 to December 2017. In December 2017, they founded their own company called Gray Optics and served as the President until April 2023. Dan is currently the VP of Product Development & Engineering at FISBA, where they are responsible for leading a team of engineers, technicians, and project managers to develop and launch optical products for the North America business unit.
Dan Gray completed their education in the field of Optics. Dan obtained a Ph.D. in Optics from the University of Rochester, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Prior to this, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Optics from the same university, attending from 2002 to 2003. Their undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Optics, was also obtained from the University of Rochester, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. In addition to their academic achievements, Dan Gray holds a certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt, which they obtained from GE in January 2014.
