John Speyrer

John Speyrer has a diverse range of work experience spanning over three decades. John is currently working as a Research and Development Senior Engineering Manager at Conextivity, where they manage a team of 20 members and supports new product development programs, cost reduction activities, and digital transformation.

Prior to that, John worked at MIKAJAKI as a Site Manager and CTO, leading new product development programs related to automation in Ophthalmology. John managed a team of 10 members and was involved in various projects.

Before MIKAJAKI, John worked as an R&D Simulation Engineer at Kejako for a year. John also has a significant tenure at Applied Materials, where they held various managerial roles. As a Product Technology Manager, they led programs and projects related to the development and design of next-generation products. John also established a formal test engineering department as a Test Engineering Manager. Additionally, they served as a Senior Engineering Project Manager, Senior Manufacturing Product Test Engineer, Senior Manufacturing Assembly and Integration Product Engineer, and Manufacturing Assemble and Integration Production Lead.

Prior to joining Applied Materials, John worked as an Industrial Controls/Automation Installation & Start-Up Manager for various companies.

Overall, John has extensive experience in engineering management, new product development, team leadership, and digital transformation.

John Speyrer holds a Master of Engineering - MSc degree in Industrial Technologies, Biomedical Option from HES-SO Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale. John also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Project Management from Capella University. Prior to that, John earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, and an Associate of Applied Science (AASc) degree in Computer Electronics and Robotics from Lamar University. Additionally, John Speyrer obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in January 2013.
