Richard Donohue is a seasoned policy researcher and educator currently serving as the Director of the Center for Quality Policing at RAND Corporation since July 2019. Donohue has led significant evaluations and analyses pertaining to law enforcement practices, including a body-worn camera pilot program for ICE and studies on synthetic opioid trafficking and policing disparities. As a former Sergeant with the MBTA Transit Police Department, Donohue brings practical law enforcement experience to various academic roles, including Adjunct Professor at Fisher College and Guest Lecturer at multiple institutions. Additionally, Donohue is an inspirational speaker, sharing insights on leadership and resilience following a serious line-of-duty injury. Educational achievements include a PhD in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and multiple advanced degrees in related fields.
