Product Development Subsystem Lead at Fisher & Paykel Appliances

Nicholas Chang has extensive work experience in product development and engineering roles. Nicholas is currently working as a Product Development Subsystem Lead at Fisher & Paykel Appliances since May 2021. Before that, they were a Design/Certification Engineer at AIM Altitude from September 2018 to December 2020, where they were involved in the detail design of components for civilian aircraft galleys and liaison with the UK factory. Prior to that, they worked at Fisher & Paykel Appliances as a Product Development Engineer from September 2015 to August 2018, focusing on detailed design and development of structural components and cooling systems for ovens and ranges. Nicholas also worked as a Junior Engineer at Springfree Trampoline from February 2015 to September 2015, managing a team and assisting in the development of new products. Nicholas started their career as an Engineering Intern at Springfree Trampoline from November 2013 to February 2014 and later worked as an Assistant Manufacturing Engineer at TE Connectivity from November 2012 to February 2013.

Nicholas Chang attended Riccarton High School from 2006 to 2010, but did not receive a degree or pursue a specific field of study during that time. Following their high school education, they then went on to attend the University of Canterbury from 2011 to 2014. At the university, Nicholas earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree with a focus in Mechanical Engineering.
