Heidi Sulman

Heidi Sulman is the Vice President of Public Health Policy at Fishing Partnership Support Services. Heidi has dedicated their career to public service, with a focus on improving access to healthcare.

Sulman began their career as a clinical social worker at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Heidi then transitioned to policy work, serving as a Research Analyst for UNITE HERE and the Harvard Kennedy School Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston. In 2015, they became Program Manager at the Massachusetts Group Insurance Commission (GIC), where they helped design and implement health insurance programs for public employees.

In 2017, Sulman returned to academia as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Institute for Behavioral Health at Brandeis University. While there, they conducted research on a variety of topics related to public health, including substance abuse and mental health. Heidi also authored several publications on their findings.

Sulman’s passion for public service has led their to their current position at Fishing Partnership Support Services, where they are working to improve access to healthcare for fishermen and their families. Heidi is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Association for Community Health Centers.

Heidi Sulman has a PhD in Social Policy - Behavioral Health from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. Heidi also has a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Law, Bioethics, & Human Rights from Boston University School of Public Health, as well as a Master of Social Work (MSW) in Clinical Social Work and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Social Work. Finally, they have a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Harvard University.
