Frank Simmons received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with a minor in Urban Planning from Fisk University in 1973. Frank owns and operates Marketing by Zip, LLC, an internet marketing company for the U.S. automotive sector, which he started in 2004. He previously served as a commodity trader and automotive dealer principal at three dealerships in the United States that generated sales in excess of $50 million. Frank served as Domestic and International Grain Trader Vice President of Italian Grain Company and has traveled extensively throughout the globe.
He is a member of the General Alumni Association of Fisk University, Inc. (GAAFU) and has served on the GAAFU, Inc. Board of Directors as treasurer. Frank has also held leadership positions on the local and regional levels as president of the Dallas Fisk Alumni Association, Minnesota Fisk Club, and Florida Fisk Club and vice chair of the Southwest Region. Frank initiated the relationship between the Chrysler Dealers Association and UNCF and was responsible for raising $2.3 million for the UNCF Capital Campaign in 1995 and the Lou Rawls Parade of Stars. He has served on numerous boards in Minneapolis, Dallas and Monroe, Louisiana.
Frank is married to Antoinette “Toni” Silva Simmons ’73. They are the parents of two adult sons and proud grandparents of three.
