Bashar Al-Natoor has over 15 years of experience in the Islamic Finance market. Bashar began their career at Arthur Andersen & Co. as a Senior Auditor from 1996 to 2000. Bashar then joined the Islamic Development Bank as a Senior Credit Analyst/Investment Officer/Senior Technical Assistant from 2000 to 2007. Currently, they are the Global Head of Islamic Finance and Managing Director at Fitch Ratings since March 2015. Prior to this role, they were the Director of Corporates & The Islamic Finance Specialist at Fitch Ratings from 2007 to 2015. In their current position, Bashar Al-Natoor is responsible for coordinating all Islamic Finance activities across Fitch's various teams.

Bashar Al-Natoor obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Banking from Al Ahliyya Amman University from 1990 to 1994. Bashar then pursued a Master of Science degree in Banking and Financial Studies with a sub-major in Finance & Accounting from The Arab Academy For Management, Banking And Financial Sciences from 1994 to 1996. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Mentoring Training.
