Fitz's
Maureen McAlister has extensive work experience at Fitz's, starting in 2007. Maureen began as a Human Resources Manager, overseeing all HR functions and responsibilities such as recruiting, hiring, and training. Maureen worked in this role until 2015. In 2017, they returned to Fitz's and took on the role of Operations Manager. During their time in this position, they successfully managed various operations within the company. In 2023, Maureen was promoted to the role of Director of Finance and Operations, where they currently contribute their expertise in finance and operations management.
Maureen McAlister attended Nerinx Hall High School from 1998 to 2002. Maureen then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2002 to 2006.

Fitz's
It all started back in 1947 when the first frosty mug of Fitz’s Draught Root Beer was served at the original Fitz’s drive-in on Clayton Rd. After disappearing for a number of years, the original recipe was revived in 1993 when Fitz’s Bottling Company opened in the historic Delmar Loop. The restaurant found it’s home in the renovated Delmar Bank building, built in 1928, and had an antique bottling line from the 1940’s refurbished and installed to maintain authenticity. The unique Fitz’s formula features fine ingredients including select natural roots, spices, barks, and is exclusively sweetened with all-natural, pure cane sugar. Although most famous for our Root Beer, we have expanded to 19 mouth-watering soda flavors; five of which are available on draught in frosty bottomless mugs. Known for delicious burgers, gigantic Root Beer Floats, and our applewood smoked meats topped with our very own Root Beer BBQ Sauce.
