Gerhard van Cappellen

Gerhard van Cappellen is an experienced orthopedagogue and educator with a Master's degree in orthopedagogiek from the University of Amsterdam. Currently serving as an Orthopedagoog Generalist at Wier de Kei since September 2023, Gerhard's focus is on supporting individuals with a mild intellectual disability in combination with other issues. Gerhard has also been a dedicated lecturer for the OG education at RINO Groep and King Nascholing since 2019 and 2016, respectively, teaching on topics such as the Care and Coercion Act and intellectual disabilities. In addition, Gerhard offers supervision for behavioral experts and is associated with the Orthopedagoog Generalist training in Amsterdam and Utrecht. Previous roles include behavioral scientist at Levvel, orthopedagogue at Amerpoort, and project manager at AxionContinu. A strong background in management and supervision complements Gerhard's expertise in addressing LVB+, psychological issues, and autism.
