Amanda Kay

Amanda Kay, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Partner and Chief Business Development Officer at Flagship Pioneering, having taken on additional responsibilities as an Operating Partner since January 2023. Prior to this role, Amanda held the position of President at Metaphore Biotechnologies from January to September 2023 and was Chief Business Officer at Deep Genomics from September 2020 to January 2023. Amanda’s extensive experience also includes senior roles at Synlogic, Inc., Pfizer, and Genzyme, where responsibilities spanned corporate development, strategic planning, and marketing. Amanda holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biology from Harvard University and a Bachelor's Degree in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a specialized focus on life sciences, growth strategy, business development, and fundraising.
