Javier Cabrera-Perez

Javier Cabrera-Perez, MD, PhD, FAAP, serves as the Associate Medical Director at Flagship Pioneering since December 2024. Previously, Javier completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT, and Harvard, and underwent clinical fellowship training in Allergy & Immunology at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Javier has extensive experience as a Pediatrician-Scientist during a residency at Texas Children's Hospital, with a focus on pediatric allergy, and trained in dual-degree Medicine and scientific research at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Early research expertise includes work at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Columbia University. Javier holds a BS in Tissue Engineering from Columbia Engineering, and earned an MD and PhD in Microbiology, Immunology, and Cancer Biology from the University of Minnesota Medical School, as well as a Fellowship in Allergy & Clinical Immunology from Harvard Medical School.
