Yih-En Ban

Yih-En Ban is an accomplished professional currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Molecular Design & Generative Biology at Flagship Pioneering since July 2024. Prior experience includes over 14 years at Arzeda, where Yih-En held various strategic roles including Interim COO and Vice President of Computing, leading company-wide R&D operations and overseeing the computational design platform. Yih-En played a pivotal role in the non-profit OpenFold consortium as an Executive Committee Member, fostering collaborations to advance open-source tools for biomolecular engineering. Academic credentials include a PhD in Biochemistry from Duke University and dual bachelor's degrees in Biology and Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin.
