Isabel Vercauteren

Isabel Vercauteren is an experienced professional in the biotechnology and agricultural sectors, currently serving as CEO of Aphea.Bio since June 2017 and as a member of the board of directors at flanders.bio since April 2019. Previously, Isabel held the position of Entrepreneur in Residence at VIB from July 2016 to July 2017 and held various managerial roles in research and development licensing at Bayer CropScience between March 2008 and July 2016. Isabel’s career began as a Senior Scientist at Devgen from 2004 to 2008 and included a post-doctoral research position at Ghent University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine from 1997 to 2004. Isabel earned a PhD in Plant Molecular Biology from the University of Ghent and a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Ghent University.
