Gregorio Ortega, P.E., DBIA has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Gregorio recently worked as the Director of Preconstruction, Alternative Delivery Pursuits at Flatiron Construction since November 2018. Prior to that, they held various leadership positions at OHL North America, including Vice President, Pursuits and Estimating North America, where they managed regional offices across the US and Canada. Gregorio also worked as a Pursuit and Estimating Director at United States-North and West Regions, where they researched and opened new markets in North America and developed strategic alliances. Gregorio Ortega also has experience at Obrascón Huarte Laín, S.A. (OHL) as a Pursuits and Estimating Bid Manager in the International Contracting Department and as a TBM Tunnel Manager. Gregorio started their career as a Structural Engineer at Cesma ingenieria and completed a summer internship at CONSTRUCCIONES ADOLFO SOBRINO, where they worked on hydraulic impact analysis for a construction project.

Gregorio Ortega, P.E., DBIA completed their undergraduate education at Universidad Politecnica de Madrid from 1994 to 2000, where they earned an Ingeniero Caminos Canales y Puertos degree with a focus on Structure. In 1998 and 1999, they attended Imperial College London and obtained a Civil Engineer Certificate. In 2012, they pursued further education at Columbia University's Columbia Business School, specializing in Business Administration and Management, General. To enhance their knowledge in 2016, they pursued Continuing Education at New York University, focusing on International Relations and Affairs.
