James Walcik CHST / STS has extensive experience in safety management, with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Texas Region Safety Manager for Flatiron Construction since August 2016, Walcik oversees corporate safety policies, training, and OSHA compliance on various projects across Texas. Previously, Walcik held several roles at Flatiron, including Interim District Safety Manager and Safety Manager II, managing safety for numerous projects in Southern California. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Safety Manager for the Hoover Dam Bypass Project with Obayashi Corporation and as Turbine Division Safety Manager at Universal Plant Services. Walcik began a career in safety at Monsanto/Solutia, advancing to Senior Operations & Project Specialist. Academic qualifications include an AAS in Occupational Safety & Health from Columbia Southern University and a diploma from Angleton High School.
