Manuel Rondon

VP Operations at Flatiron Construction

Manuel Rondon has a diverse and extensive work experience. Manuel began their career at LAGOVEN as a Project Engineer from 1977 to 1980. Manuel then worked at MARSHALL ASSOCIATES LIMITED and INTERALUMINA as a Senior Project Manager from 1983 to 1993. After that, they joined DSD Dilinger Stahlbau GmbH as a Project Director, where they successfully managed various projects, including the New Railway Crossing and Deck Widening of the Tagus River Suspension Bridge Project in Portugal. Manuel worked in this role from 1993 to 1999. Manuel then joined Bechtel Corporation as a Senior Project Director/Manager from 1999 to 2013. During their time at Bechtel, they led significant projects such as the Design-Build Tappan Zee Bridge Replacement Project, EPCM Organic Growth Project 1 in Chile, EPCM Hay Point Expansion Stage 3 in Australia, and the Expansion (Third Set of Locks) Project of the Panama Canal. Since 2013, Manuel has been working as a Project Management Consultant, including a role as the VP of Operations at Flatiron Construction starting in 2015. Overall, Manuel Rondon has a vast range of experience in project management and has demonstrated excellence in completing projects ahead of schedule and within budget.

Manuel Rondon attended Universidad Simón Bolívar from 1970 to 1973, majoring in Electrical Engineering. Manuel then pursued a BSEE degree in Electrical Engineering at Tufts University from 1973 to 1977.
