What You’ll Do: In this role, you'll work within the Legal, Privacy & Compliance team, and closely partner Product and Engineering teams and other key stakeholders to manage Flatiron’s Regulatory Program. Core responsibilities include:

  • Defines and implements Flatiron’s regulatory program strategy;
  • Possesses deep knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to the business, and partners with Legal to translate regulatory requirements to applicable software functionality or business processes for teams
  • Provides recommendations to business and tech leaders to implement new/revised regulatory requirements
  • Creates and drives action plans to ensure regulatory requirements are implemented properly and timely
  • Participates in relevant regulatory communities/industries; gathers regulatory policy intelligence and analyzes changes in the regulatory environment to inform decision making
  • Ensures Flatiron’s adherence to all regulatory obligations
  • Monitors the overall compliance of Flatiron’s regulated products and services
  • Manages regulatory incidents or corrective action plans that may impact regulatory compliance, as needed.
  • Maintains good standing with federal regulatory certification programs, including the ONC certification program for Health IT developers

Who You Are:

  • 3-5+ years of experience driving program and project management within a tech organization, including:
  • Managing end-to-end program health; driving business planning for program maintenance and improvement
  • Translating business and/or regulatory needs to technical leadership
  • Experience with the software development process in a regulated industry
  • Managing incidents, audits and/or corrective action plans
  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams and own multiple projects simultaneously
  • Structured communication skills tailored to both product and engineering teams and leadership, as well as extraordinary interpersonal skills and ability to provide sound, clear and succinct regulatory advice and analysis to business teams in both verbal and written forms
  • Ability to multitask, work under tight time pressures, prioritize work, and react quickly to changing business needs and demands all in a fast-paced, high-growth business environment
  • Demonstrated track record of being a team-player and working collaboratively
  • Ability to maintain an independent and objective perspective while developing and maintaining a strong partnership with the client organizations
  • Intellectually nimble thinker and highly adaptable
  • Passionate about improving lives by learning from the experience of every cancer patient

Extra Credit:

  • Ability to work in the Flatiron Health offices in New York, NY (preferred, not required)
  • Knowledge of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC)’s certification requirements, including the Cures Act
  • CMS regulatory knowledge (e.g. MIPS, EOM)
  • Background in Software Engineering or Product Management
  • Certified Professional Compliance Officer - CPCO Certification
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)®

Salary Range: $136000 - $204000

Preferred Primary Location : NYC Headquarters

The annual pay range reflected above for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed in the job description. Salary ranges for other locations vary from the range reflected above. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
