Guy Amster

Guy Amster is a highly experienced professional in machine learning engineering and software development. Currently serving as the Director of Machine Learning Engineering at Flatiron Health since January 2019, Guy has held multiple roles including Staff Software Engineering Manager and Staff Software Engineer in machine learning. Previous experience includes academic research at Columbia University, where Guy focused on mathematical modeling and statistical analysis of genetic diversity as a graduate student. Guy co-founded and served as CTO at Scientra, developing ultra-low-latency platforms for algorithmic trading. Additionally, Guy led a team in R&D at the Israeli Defense Forces, specializing in mathematical and algorithmic research related to data security and communication protocols. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Population Genetics from Columbia University and an MS in Mathematics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
