Devesh Walawalkar

Devesh Walawalkar is a Research Engineer at Flawless since August 2022, focusing on AI-based facial analysis technology, including face detection and motion tracking. Previously, Devesh worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Honeywell from February 2020 to August 2022, where research involved developing AI frameworks for image classification and warehouse automation. At Carnegie Mellon University's CyLab, Devesh served as a Deep Learning Research Engineer from June 2018 to January 2020, leading the creation of a driver safety alert iOS application funded by PwC. As a Graduate Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University from February 2018 to May 2018, Devesh focused on active machine learning techniques for medical imaging and developed an efficient algorithm utilizing deep descriptor features. Devesh began with an in-plant internship at Mahindra Rise in 2015, creating prototypes for error-correcting systems. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute.
