Issaq M Ansari

Issaq Ansari is the Director of the Dry Bulk division for FLEET. In his role, he leads a team of Technical Managers and Superintendents who oversee the overall management of the dry bulk vessels – the second-largest fleet of bulk carriers and the largest fleet of geared bulk carriers worldwide.

Issaq began his seagoing career at FLEET as a Fourth Engineer in 1996. Over the next nine years, he sailed around the world, with his last three years at sea as a Chief Engineer. In 2005, he embarked on his shore career and joined FLEET’s global headquarters in Hong Kong as a Superintendent.

Over the next 17 years he would go on to take increased responsibility – first as a Senior Superintendent, then Technical Manager and to his current role.

Further to his Class 1 Chief Engineer’s license, in 2022 he completed postgraduate executive education in Maritime Management at the World Maritime University.
